Fernando Tatis Jr. continues to wow the baseball world with his glove and bat, adding to his rookie highlight reel by flying up (literally?) to grab a Jesus Aguilar liner for an out.
The call from the San Diego Padres’ booth — starring Mark Grant — was just as good, if not better.
“You are a cartoon character … KID!” Grant shouted. “Come on! Who makes that play?”
The only cartoon it made me think of was Space Jam (maybe because LeBron James’s sequel is being filmed) in that Tatis somehow extended his arm like Michael Jordan did to drop in the game-winning shot for the Toon Squad.
