Ryder Cup captain Padraig Harrington is buying a drink for all the caddies at this week's Irish Open.
The Dubliner has made the generous gesture as he gears up to play in his 26th consecutive national open.
“With the Ryder Cup getting closer and this being Irish Open week, I’d like to buy all the caddies in the field a drink to thank you all for the support that I know you will be giving Team Europe in September,” wrote Harrington in a post shared by the Team Europe account on Twitter.
“We may be a European team, but we are a global tour so no matter what country you are from (including America!) please enjoy a drink on me at your hotel bar.”
This September Harrington will captain Europe against an American team led by Steve Stricker at Whistling Straits in Wisconsin.
The three-time major champion will have three captain's picks to make to complete his 12-man European team.
