Padraic Davis given another two years with Longford as Leinster minor championship fixtures released

Padraic Davis has been handed another two years as Longford senior football manager.

Davis has already served two years in the role and oversaw a mixed 2020 season as Longford stayed in Division Three and beat Louth in the Leinster Championship before losing to Laois in the provincial quarter-final.

Selectors Paul Barden, Donal Ledwith and ex-Galway footballer John Donnellan will remain on board, reports RTE Sport, while strength and conditioning coach Alan Malone and nutritionist Kate McDaid are also expected to continue.

Elsewhere, the Leinster Council has announced fixture details for the remainder of its minor hurling and football Championships after the Government gave the green light for underage inter-county games to resume under Level 3 restrictions this month.

It has been speculated that the Dublin-Galway All-Ireland under-20 football final will form a double header with the senior decider at Croke Park on December 19 though there has been no confirmation as yet.
