Paddy Power release odds on whether Declan Rice will sing English national anthem

The bookies reckon that Declan Rice will belt out the lyrics top 'God Save the Queen' tonight in what may well be his international debut for England.

The 20-year-old switched to England last month after months of deliberation following making three friendly appearances for Ireland.

But the West Ham ace has endured a turbulent time since, controversially winning the FAI 'Young Player of the Year' award earlier this month before apologising yesterday for historical comments that appeared to show him support the IRA resurfaced on social media.

And now the question arises around whether he will sing during the anthem's in England's EURO 2020 Qualifier with Czech Republic at Wembley tonight - and there's one clear favourite.

A Spokesman for Paddy Power said: “Enough criticism has flowed young Declan’s way over the last few months, but he could be ripping the plaster off tonight if he sings God Save The Queen.

“It’ll be painful enough to see him in an England shirt, let alone holding his heart and singing their anthem.”
