Paddy Pimblett shows off weight loss after hitting 200lb ahead of UFC London 2022

Paddy Pimblett has shown off his weight loss as he prepares for his next fight which will take place next month at UFC London. After his last fight, a win against Rodrigo Vargas, the 27-year-old gained weight and was as high as 200lb which is close to 50lb above his fighting weight.

The lightweight will face Jordan Leavitt at the London event at the 02 Arena on July 23 and the Liverpool born fighter will be hoping to put on a show for his UK fans. Pimblett has enjoyed back to back 'performance of the night' awards so far in two UFC bouts since moving over from the cage fighters franchise.

Pimblett's weight gain in the wake of his fights has become part of his brand and has drawn criticism from some quarters. However, in a recent social media post, the fighter has showcased his weight loss as his training steps up ahead of his return to the Octagon next month.

In a tweet, he wrote: "Always grinding… getting ready for July 23rd.". This was accompanied with photos of him training alongside Molly McCann with the fighter looking in fantastic shape ahead of his fight on the undercard of Curtis Blaydes vs Tom Aspinall, a night where Darren Till will also fight Jack Hermansson.

In the past, 'The Baddy' has detailed his weight gain in the wake of his fights, taking fans through his eating habits. He explained a vlog titled 'Paddy the Fatty is BACK': "We went to Cafe No. 9, the Laffey wrap comes with salt and pepper chicken, bacon, cheese, wrapped, with spicy mayo. And that comes with its own chips, them chips got their own mayo. And we ordered salt and pepper chicken loaded fries, cheesy chips with salt and pepper chicken on them. I also ordered some halloumi fries, ate all of them, and finished their pasta off.

"Got home, had a 240 gram pack of chocolate buttons, that’s like 11,000 calories,” he continued. “Then I had two Wispa Golds, a can of coke, then we went at Nando’s. We had the hummus between us, I had ten BBQ wings to me self, a garlic bread, a rice, a chips, and half a chicken. I got home and had two of those daisy donuts, Joe’s made me loads of red velvet cookies, I had two of them. And obviously I had drinks."
