Paddy McNair admits his goal against Belarus was an early birthday present for his mother.
McNair's parents were in he crowd to watch their son become Northern Ireland's hero at the Borisov Arena.
With just five minutes remaining, McNair cut inside from the left before dispatching a low drive into the far corner of the net.
It earned Michael O'Neill's side a fourth straight win in their Euro 2020 qualifying group , and followed on from Saturday's comeback win against Estonia.
"My mum and dad were here, so it was nice," McNair told the BBC.
"It is my mum's birthday tomorrow as well so it is an early birthday present for her."
Reflecting on his first international goal, the Middlesbrough midfielder added: "It was brilliant. I think I was due one.
"I got a bit of stick for missing one in the first game against Estonia, so it was good to make up for it.
"And what a time to get it, in the last few minutes to get us four wins out of four and keep us top of the group is brilliant."
Northern Ireland have a break before resuming their Euro campaign against Germany in September.
It will be the first of four crunch games which also includes a double-header against the Netherlands.
"This win is unbelievable. It definitely puts the pressure on Germany and Holland," he added.
"They're going to have to beat us in the next games to give them a chance which sounds nice.
"But we will just enjoy this until September when that comes around we will get our heads back on again."
