Paddy McGuinness told he's 'caught dad' after sharing dilemma to fans

Sharing photos from a shopping trip, Paddy McGuiness has been jokingly told he had 'caught dad.' The Top Gear star went on Instagram and could be seen talking to the camera from his home in Cheshire, which he shares with his ex-wife Christine and their three children.

The 49 year old explained he had a bit of a dilemma after returning home from a shopping trip. He said: "I bought myself some new pairs of slacks, or trousers, depending on what decade you were born in" and then moved the camera to show the trousers he had picked reports Manchester Evening News.

Paddy said: "They looked great in the shop, I tried them on - they fitted lovely. Olive green and I don't even know what the colour is. Thing is, I've got them home, I have no clue what to do with them.

"What colour trainers, what colour top... Look, I've got nothing on at the minute." He added: " I'm alright with blue jeans, I'm alright with black jeans.

"Green... khaki... I've had it." He captioned the hilarious video as "Green or Khaki trousers, what colour tops? I’m at a loss!" Leigh Francis, also known as his alter ego Keith Lemon, was quick to comment "You’ve caught ‘dad’," before fans and followers offered their advice to Paddy on his clothing situation.

This comes after Paddy got a public message from Christine as he marked Father's Day. Despite their announced split in July 2022, the couple continue to live together in their Cheshire home with their twins Penelope and Leo and youngest daughter Felicity.

Last month, Christine said her and Paddy are 'absolutely fine' with living in the same house despite the split. During an appearance on Jeremy Vine on Channel 5 this week, Christine was asked about the living arrangements.

Christine, who was diagnosed with autism herself after all three of her children got the diagnosis, at 33, told host Jeremy: "You know what, it's been absolutely fine. I don't know any different than to live with him. I can't remember not living with him.

"I've been with him since I was 19 years old and we just want to do what's best for our children. It's certainly not a long-term plan."

She continued: "But for right now, we don't feel like anything needs to change for me and my children. I think slow changes are better and it works well."

To mark Father's Day on Sunday, June 18, Christine made sure to still pull out the stops for her ex as he showed off a bunch of homemade cards as well as a bottle of aftershave he received as a gift. Taking to Instagram, Paddy shared a close look at each of the five cards.

"Absolutely buzzing! My children all drew things I like," he started the caption of his post to his two million followers. Paddy continued: "Not sure if my son did me playing golf or some’t else? Either way I like it!

"Thank you Leo, Penelope and Felicity. Daddy loves you, his cards and present! Felicity did me a blue heart because I told her it’s one of my favourite colours and Penelope drew me the Top Gear logo. Big up to all the Fart-hers out there!"

While she didn't post to her own Instagram page, Christine shared a message in the comments section of Paddy's post and wrote: "Happy Daddy’s Day," alongside a red love heart.
