Paddy McGuinness says it's 'good to get home' as he jets back home amid marriage woes

Paddy McGuinness has jetted back to the UK after his wife Christine broke her silence on their marriage troubles.

The Top Gear host, 48, had been in Thailand filming but took to Instagram on Sunday night to announce he was returning home with a video of his long flight home.

In the caption, he wrote: "I is back baby! 11 hour flight but really enjoyed filming in Thailand, beautiful country.

"Yet no matter where I travel it's always good to get home!

"Cup of tea, clean bedding and the kids are off skoo. #home #sunday #travel #weekend #workworkyworkwork.”

Christine, 34, has been married to Paddy since 2011 and opened up about their marriage struggles after a week of speculation.

Speaking about her emotional state, Christine confessed: "I'm feeling really quite raw and all over the place."

Christine and Paddy first sparked concerns over their marriage when he failed to support her at The Games.

Later, Christine took a solo trip and cryptically discussed "following her heart".

Now, she has opened up about her marriage, saying: "What I might have put up with in the past, I probably wouldn't put up with now, and the same for him."

She added to The Sun: "I can't lie we're having a very, very difficult time."

Fabulous magazine noted that Christine was "still wearing her diamond engagement ring" when she sat down for a chat with them about the state of her marriage.

Christine and Paddy have been together for 15 years and married for a total of 11 years. They share three children, Penelope, Leo and Felicity together – all of whom have been diagnosed with autism.

Although Christine was reluctant to go into detail about the issues within their marriage, she insisted she "didn't cause this situation".

She hinted there was trouble in paradise when she took to Instagram on Thursday (July 7) to share a cryptic motivational quote about discussing trust before love.

She shared: "This year I met the most broken version of me, but also the strongest."

The former reality star then added: "Regarding the press... There is only one thing I want to make clear right now... I didn't put us in this situation."

Christine had previously insisted that there were no problems in paradise and told OK!: "We're really good, honestly. We have had difficult times but when I look back at our marriage and see where we are now, I think, 'Wow, you know, we've done alright!'

"I first met Paddy 14 years ago and now we've got three gorgeous kids, we've been married for 11 years, we're both busier than ever, but doing really great stuff.

"I couldn't ask for anything more from him. I'm so grateful. I'm happy, I've got no complaints."
