Paddy McGuinness responds to cheeky comments after he and wife Christine took an afternoon 'nap'

Paddy McGuinness raised eyebrows as he jubilantly shared being able to steal some quality time for a 'snooze' with his wife Christine.

The I Can See Your Voice host made his Instagram followers chuckle when he posted a photo of himself and his glamorous wife Christine giggling together under the covers.

He said, as the parents of three young children, it was the first time in almost eight years that they had managed to steal away together for an afternoon nap while home alone.

A topless Paddy, 47, smiled into the camera as model Christine, 33, held the duvet over herself to protect her modesty.

He shared the snap with the words: "Look at the sheer delight. These are the faces of two parents, who after nigh on eight years, have finally managed to get an afternoon nap in!"

He added: "#homealone #disconap #heaven #sleepwins #cheekyhour #nap #snooze #winning #afternoondelight."

As the cheeky comments came flooding in the 47-year-old TV presenter and comic responded with an angelic face emoji.

"As if you were napping!!" teased one fan.

"When I have an afternoon nap, I tend to keep my clothes on," said another with a winking-face emoji.

"A nap hey.. Is that what you're calling it?" joked another.

Paddy and former Real Housewives of Cheshire guest star Christine have seven-year-old twins Penelope and Leo and daughter Felicity, four.

Earlier this year the Bolton comic and TV presenter raised laughs when he revealed the comical greeting he and Christine have for each other.

The Top Gear host shared a hilarious video on his Instagram showing the couple greeting each other with a rude gesture as they pulled up next to each other in their cars.

In the video Paddy smiled in greeting and as she stopped alongside him the pair exchanged the middle finger while laughing at their in-joke.

She wrote added: "#14years #3kids #lifesentence Still laughing."

And she said: "We smiled and spoke for 10 seconds that's going strong after 14 years."

Last year Christine was full of praise for her hubby as she spoke out on the chat show Loose Women.

Their three children have autism, which she says has been difficult during the coronavirus pandemic.

Asked about staying at home with Paddy she said sharing things '50/50' around the house stopped their bickering.

"If you'd have said this to me months ago I'd have gone 'absolutely not you cannot put me in lockdown with him'," she said.

"I would have thought we'd have hated it but we're getting on so well.

"And I think its because this is the first time in our lives we are doing everything 50/50.

"The things we used to bicker about was mainly how much he was away from home or if I wanted to work and I couldn't because he was away.

"It was little things whereas now we're both stay at home parents.

"We're both doing the same amount of cooking, cleaning, childcare, bedtime so there's nothing really to argue about."
