Paddy McGuinness mortified after accidentally making saucy comment on live TV

Paddy McGuinness was embarrassed after accidentally making a saucy comment live on This Morning on Friday.

The 49-year-old made an appearance on the morning show to discuss his new Channel 4 series, Tempting Fortune.

He sat down with Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary and soon got a little too comfortable.

At one point, presenter Dermot told viewers at home that singer Marti Pellow would be performing on the ITV show.

A short clip from one of her music videos was shown and a woman could be seen caressing her body.

In the background, Paddy was heard saying: "Look at that... yes!"

Paddy was mortified when he realised he was live and said that the comment was about Marti.

Speaking to Alison, 48, Paddy said: "Tell me now, be serious, because you know what it's like, are we on?"

The presenter thought it was hilarious and Alison added: "I don't feel very well."

Paddy made sure to be extra cautious and asked the pair if they were live on television.

"Seriously, you two before I start effing and jeffing, are we on? Are we on the telly?" he said.

After hearing the confirmation, he continued: "Oh my God, why didn't you give me a heads up?"

It comes after Paddy teased the possibility of new episodes of Max and Paddy's Road To Nowhere after 20 years.

He starred and wrote in the sitcom alongside Peter Kay, with episodes airing between November and December 2004.

Earlier this week, Paddy joined Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp and discussed the idea of a reunion.

Radio host Sian Welby asked the star whether the duo will get together again.

"We do talk about it and what have you, but, I don't, I can't, I can't see it at the minute, but we never say never, but it's good to talk," he said.

"Like Max and Paddy for instance, we wrote a couple of Christmas specials, and we still got them.

"And we never got around to doing one for whatever the reason was back in the day. But we've actually got them!"
