Paddy McGuinness 'gets cosy with Kirsty Gallacher on night out' after split from wife

Paddy McGuinness has reportedly been spotted on a date with Kirsty Gallacher.

The Take Me Out host, 49, - who split from his wife Christine McGuinness, 34, last year - was spotted 'getting cosy' with the TV presenter at the Ham Yard Hotel in London's Soho.

It comes just weeks after Kirsty, 47, said she was dating again and ready for love after splitting from former rugby player Paul Sampson in 2015 after 16 years together.

"I'm currently dating! I'm not with anyone in particular right now, but I'm very open to something," she told Closer magazine.

"That would be really lovely."

Meanwhile, Paddy has been single since announcing the end of his 11-year marriage last July.

But it looks like his dry spell could be coming to an end seven months after the end of his marriage.

"They were sitting together, laughing together and looking cosy," an onlooker told The Mail on Sunday.

"If you walked past them you would most certainly think they were on a date.

"They definitely looked like they would make a lovely couple."

The Mirror has contacted Paddy and Kirsty's representatives for comment.

Last month, Christine McGuinness admitted she was “pretending to be someone else” during her marriage to Paddy.

The couple, who have twins Penelope and Leo, nine, and daughter Felicity, six, remain in the same house because their kids – who all have autism – rely on routine.

But the model, who was also diagnosed with autism last year, admitted “faking” being the perfect wife during her 11-year marriage to Paddy, 49.

In a rare interview, Christine told how she had been suppressing an element of autism, known as masking, all her life.

“I’d always wanted to be a wife so once I met Patrick, I fully went into ‘perfect wife’ mode," she said.

"You know, ‘I’ll stay in, I’ll cook and clean and make sure I’m the best wife I can be’."

Meanwhile, Paddy has reportedly been announced as the face of a brand new big budget game show on Channel 4.

The comedian-turned-presenter looks set to return to the broadcaster which kickstarted his TV career after being unveiled as the host of Tempting Fortune.

Paddy made his onscreen debut on Channel 4 in 2001 when he played Paddy O'Shea in hit comedy series Phoenix Nights alongside good friend Peter Kay before the pair also starred in the show's spin-off Max and Paddy's Road to Nowhere in 2004.

He has built up a large portfolio of presenting gigs on the BBC and ITV, which have included the likes of Take Me Out, Top Gear and Question of Sport.

However, he is reportedly going to front a new show on Channel 4 based in South Africa where 12 strangers will be stranded in the wilderness having been forced to give up their luxuries in a bid to win £300,000.

The contestants will endure an 18-day trek but must resist any temptations such as comfy beds, taxis and eateries in the huge test of character. Anyone who succumbs to the desires will pay high prices for the luxury and will be deducted from the prize pot.
