Paddy McGuinness fans brand post 'filth' after relatable holiday moment with ex Christine

Paddy McGuinness fans were left stunned as he posted 'filth' on social media after branding himself a 'tool' in what will likely be a relatable holiday moment for many. The Top Gear host has jetted off to Spain for a family getaway with his ex-wife Christine McGuinness and their three children.

The couple announced almost a year ago, in July last year, that they had split 'some time ago' but were focussing on their children - twins Penelope and Leo and youngest daughter Felicity who all have been diagnosed with autism. Paddy, 49, and Christine, 35, have continued to live together in their Cheshire home.

Last month, Christine said her and Paddy are 'absolutely fine' with living in the same house despite their split. During an appearance on Jeremy Vine on Channel 5 this week, Christine was asked about the unique living arrangements. "You know what, it's been absolutely fine," Christine, who was diagnosed with autism herself at 33, told host Jeremy.

"I don't know any different than to live with him. I can't remember not living with him. I've been with him since I was 19 years old and we just want to do what's best for our children. It's certainly not a long-term plan." She continued: "But for right now, we don't feel like anything needs to change for me and my children. I think slow changes are better and it works well."

And now, the family have headed off on holiday, with Christine's mum, abroad for the first time in four years. Christine shared a string of snaps of herself frolicking in the pool on an inflatable Flamingo. "Lovely family holiday," she wrote in the caption on Instagram. "Loads of you have asked how the kiddies got on (it’s their first trip abroad in 4 years, they don’t really enjoy travel or change) but with lots of prep and patience they done incredibly well and have absolutely loved it!" she shared before adding: "Very very proud mummy."

But the inflatables appeared to prove a sticking point with Paddy with the Bolton-born comedian and TV host sharing a video of him carrying the various pool accessories down when appeared to be a rained-on path. He walked towards to camera and as he got right in front of it, he simply said: "P**s take."

Posting the clip to Instagram, he wrote: "Fantastic family holiday in Spain. Apart from the clouds… and the rain… oh and the inflatables!" He added: "I was the only tool carrying these around in the p**s rain!"

The post made fans laugh but Paddy soon seemed a lot happier as he posted a picture of himself in the pool atop one of the inflatables with the sun seemingly shining down as he donned his dark shades. "That's better," he captioned the post. But the position of the inflatable caused some comments.

Alongside a string of crying laughing emojis, @jacquelineburtob1 laughed: "That looks soooo wrong." @miketebbutt quipped: "Inflatable filth!" @sarahlouuxxo92 mocked: "Don’t know whose enjoying it more you or that inflatable."

Others, however, were distracted by Paddy's gym-honed physique. @tinalj1975 said: "Someone’s been working out." @kelly.milne.34 replied: "Aww looks good. Are yoy even wearing anything on your inflatable? Lol haha." @bettjag added: "Look at that body!!!"
