Paddy Barnes trolls boxing champion saying his kids should swap Rangers shirts for Celtic

Paddy Barnes has trolled boxing champion Nonito Donaire for sharing a photo of his children in Rangers jerseys.

The Irish ex-Olympian took to Twitter to slag off his fellow fighter by telling him that they should be wearing Celtic tops instead.

After seeing that Nonito had shared a photo of his kids wearing personalised 'Gers shirts, Barnes tweeted: "Nonito, you're a champ and should be wearing a Celtic top" along with a laughing emoji.

Donaire has previously held eight world titles by the main four boxing sanctioning bodies as well as a number of others.

Meanwhile, Barnes is still toying with the idea of retirement after his shock defeat to Oscar Mojica in New York earlier this year.

Speaking after the loss, he admitted that he would probably retire, but has since claimed that he will continue to box.

"I just feel like now, I should be in the business of Paddy Barnes and not in the business of anyone else," Barnes told iFL TV.

"I should be doing fights that are right for me, like not fighting at bantamweight just to get a fight. Flyweight is my optimum weight.

"It's the weight I'm most successful at. I had all my amateur success at light flyweight but I think flyweight is the weight for me and going forward, I'm going to fight at flyweight.

"I'm not going to retire. Boxing wouldn't be the same without me. And plus, I have no qualifications and have no job so I need to box.

"In fairness, even though I lost, I still have the desire to be a world champion and to be the best I can be but I know it's going to take a bit longer."
