This is all about a normal day in Paddington's house. Or is it…?
Paddington is a small bear who lives in a medium–sized house. He lives in a house with Mr and Mrs Brown and also Mrs Bird (the Browns' housekeeper). Because Paddington loves marmalade and only has small paws he kind of makes a mess everywhere so Mrs Bird gets very frustrated and makes a big fuss.
Mr Brown isn't mentioned in this book a lot but he is a very kind person and tells Paddington to do housework sometimes. He isn't really bothered about any mess that Paddington makes.
Mrs Brown doesn't want Paddington to get messy and she thinks Paddington is mischievous but he isn't.
The author makes Mrs Bird's attitude sound a bit annoyed most of the time. She is good friends with Mrs Brown and Mr Brown.
My favourite part of the book is when Paddington goes to Mr Gruber's mystery tour about marmalade and Paddington is so eager to taste some of the very fresh marmalade but then unexpectedly rolls down in a wooden barrel!
I loved this book so much so I think anyone over the age of 6 will too, and will love to read this book.
