Packers WR J’Mon Moore deemed at fault in recent car accident

Green Bay Packers receiver J’Mon Moore wasn’t injured in an ugly-looking car accident last Friday, but he was deemed at fault for the two-car wreck.

According to Benita Mathew of the Green Bay Press-Gazette, Moore was cited for driving too fast for conditions and could be fined up to $300 after his car lost control and hit a pickup truck on Highway 29 in Hobart, just minutes northwest of Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Heavy rain contributed to the crash. Moore said he hyroplaned into the eastbound lanes of traffic on the highway, where his white Mercedes collided with a truck driven by a 62-year-old man from Keshena.

“Man, it was raining hard as hell,” Moore said, via Rob Demovsky of ESPN. “I just hydroplaned from (Highway) 29 west, spun out all the way to 29 East.”

Although Moore told Demovsky he wasn’t cited for the accident, that’s either inaccurate or Moore was given a ciation several days after the accident.

Photos of the wreck shared by Moore on social media showed extensive damage to the front of his vehicle.

Despite being a fourth-round pick of the Packers in 2018, Moore is fighting for a roster spot this summer. He caught a touchdown pass in the preseason opener but has struggled holding onto the football during training camp.
