Packers WR Davante Adams powers opening TD drive vs. Eagles

The Green Bay Packers used three plays to receiver Davante Adams to power an opening drive touchdown against the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday night at Lambeau Field.

Adams sparked the drive with a 58-yard catch and then nearly scored on a quick touch pass inside the red zone. He turned his three catches into 71 yards.

The Packers talked all week about getting Adams more touches. So far, so good.

The 58-yard pass play was the longest by the Packers this season.

Running back Aaron Jones finished off the scoring march by spinning around a tackler for a 3-yard touchdown. Jones now has a touchdown in six straight home games, a franchise record.

The Packers’ drive went 89 yards in six plays.

The opening possession got off to a tough start when running back Jamaal Williams was injured on a helmet-to-helmet hit from Eagles defensive end Derek Barnett. It was penalized 15 yards. Williams needed a stretcher to exit the field.
