Packers WR Davante Adams participates at Wednesday’s practice

Green Bay Packers receiver Davante Adams is inching closer and closer to a return.

While the two-time Pro Bowler has missed the last four games with a turf toe injury, he participated during Wednesday’s practice in Green Bay, running routes and going through individual drills without any visible signs of limitation.

Last week, Adams said he felt “two million times better” but admitted he was still having trouble pushing off the toe/foot and running routes at full speed. It appears he’s cleared those hurdles to start this week.

In a short video from Matt Schneidman of The Athletic, Adams is seen bursting off the line and running a route at full speed during Wednesday’s practice:

According to ESPN’s Rob Demovsky, there’s hope that Adams has made “significant improvement” in his recovery from the toe injury.

The Packers will release their first injury report of the week later Wednesday.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported this past Saturday that Adams “is likely” to return on Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Getting Adams back would be a big boost to the Packers offense, even if Aaron Rodgers and Aaron Jones have powered Green Bay to a 4-0 record in October.

In his first four games of 2019, Adams caught 25 passes for 378 yards.
