Virtual Davante Adams is once again one of the elite players in “Madden NFL 22,” an upcoming video game release from EA Sports.
The Green Bay Packers receiver earned a 99 overall rating from the game for the second straight year.
EA Sports is rolling out ratings this week, starting with wide receivers on Monday. Adams is the first player to be revealed as a 99 overall.
The people from EA Sports surprised Adams with the information while he was out on the golf course with friends. Part of the gift package is a “99” necklace, which he showed off with a similar necklace from last year in a recent Instagram story.

Adams, who caught 115 passes and led the NFL in receiving touchdowns last season, is the highest-rated receiver in the game and the only receiver with a 99 overall rating. DeAndre Hopkins and Tyreek Hill are both 98 overall.
In the game, Adams has a 99 catch rating, 99 short route running rating and 98 spectacular catch.
