Green Bay Packers receiver Allen Lazard ranked among the top 25 in performance-based pay distributions in the NFL during the 2019 season.
Lazard earned $307,304, ranking 23rd overall in the NFL. He made $495,000 in base salary last season.
Lazard, who played almost 500 offensive snaps and over 700 total snaps in 2019, finished second on the Packers roster in receiving yards (477), tied for second in receiving touchdowns (3) and fifth in catches (35).
The NFL’s performance-based pay is designed to reward low-salaried players who play a high number of snaps.

“Performance-Based Pay is computed by using a player index (“Index”). To produce the Index, a player’s regular-season playtime (total plays on offense, defense and special teams) is divided by his adjusted regular-season compensation (full season salary, prorated portion of signing bonus, earned incentives). Each player’s Index is then compared to those of the other players on his team to determine the amount of his Performance-Based Pay.”
Lazard is an exclusive rights free agent. The 24-year-old former Iowa State star entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent.
