Packers win 3 of 4 NFC Offensive Player of the Week awards for October

The Green Bay Packers almost had a clean sweep of NFC Offensive Player of the Week awards during the month of October.

The Packers won three of the four, with running back Aaron Jones earning the award in Weeks 5 and 8 and quarterback Aaron Rodgers taking it in Week 7.

It was a terrific month overall for the Packers, who finished October with a perfect 4-0 record despite not having Pro Bowl receiver Davante Adams. The team averaged 32.5 points per game and scored 30 or more points in three of the four games, including road games in Dallas and Kansas City.

Jones and Rodgers were dominant.

Jones rushed for 271 yards and four touchdowns and caught 22 passes for 280 yards and four touchdowns. He finished the month with 551 total yards from scrimmage and seven touchdowns. During the Packers’ Week 5 win in Dallas, he produced 182 total yards and four rushing touchdowns. Last week in Kansas City, he gained 226 total yards and caught a pair of touchdown passes.

Rodgers tossed 10 touchdown passes and just one interception (off a drop) and had a passer rating of 118.7. He produced six total touchdowns during the Packers’ Week 6 win over the Raiders.
