Packers waive OLB Kendall Donnerson with injury designation

The Green Bay Packers waived outside linebacker Kendall Donnerson, a seventh-round pick of the Packers in 2018, with an injury designation, according to Rob Demovsky of ESPN.

Donnerson injured his hamstring on July 26 and hasn’t returned to training camp practices.

Donnerson spent much of his rookie season on the practice squad before being promoted to the 53-man roster on Dec. 4, but he didn’t appear in a regular season game.

The Packers made Donnerson the 248th pick in the 2018 draft.

Donnerson (6-3, 249) will be subject to waivers. If he isn’t claimed and clears waivers, he’ll revert back to the Packers injured reserve list. At that point, Donnerson and the Packers would likely reach an injury settlement.
