Whenever the Vikings and Packers meet, it’s an intense game. Records are mostly meaningless in this bitter rivalry — with both teams having swept the season series at least once in the last five seasons. This is also the only rivalry in which we have seen multiple ties this century, happening in 2013 (26-26) and 2018 (29-29).
The atmosphere at both US Bank Stadium and Lambeau Field are immaculate and must be experienced in person. The camaraderie and tension between fans of both teams is something to behol. With each fanbase traveling well to the other’s home stadium, it minimizes the home field advantage slightly, making it as close of a neutral site game as you could have playing a true road game.
As we look forward to the game on Sunday, both teams have a lot to play for. The Green Bay Packers sit at 8-2 with a shot to once again have the number one seed and the only first round bye in the playoffs, while the 4-5 Vikings need a win to keep in the hunt for a playoff spot and an outside shot at a division title.
