Packers trolled by Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown on NFL Network?

Detroit Lions receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown used his unique opportunity on NFL Network on Tuesday to troll (intentionally or not) the rival Green Bay Packers.

Every so often, the football-devoted channel provides players with a chance to set the prommaning. It’s called “Players’ Choice.” St. Brown picked a few inspiring classics and stuck mostly to Lions-related programming, but one game stood out for the Packers.

The 2014 NFC Championship Game.

At 1:00 p.m. CT on Tuesday, NFL Network replayed the Packers’ heart-breaking and gut-wrenching loss to the Seattle Seahawks from January of 2015.

Whether St. Brown meant to troll his NFC North rival or not, his programming pick was nothing if not a painful reminder to Packers fans of an incredible missed opportunity to go back to the Super Bowl during the Aaron Rodgers era.

Now that Rodgers and Mason Crosby are no longer in Green Bay, only left tackle David Bakhtiari remains from the 2014 Packers team.

Here was St. Brown’s picks on Tuesday:

Here’s what St. Brown told NFL Network on Tuesday: “I was given several things to choose from, but like you talked about earlier, Hard Knocks, that was super fun to be a part of. So, you guys are going to get a chance to see a run back of some of the Hard Knocks. Some of the episodes or clips that I really liked. Some games that I enjoyed playing in last year. Performances that were really good for me. Some legends that played for us — Calvin Johnson, Barry Sanders — just more Detroit hype, trying to hype it up more. Guys I really loved watching growing up. Maybe some guys on other teams. So, you definitely got to tune in.”

The Packers host St. Brown and the Lions on Sept. 28 for a primetime battle at Lambeau Field. Matt LaFleur’s team will attempt to get revenge for last season’s sweep by the Lions, including the season-ending loss at home.
