Packers tender all 5 exclusive rights free agents

The Green Bay Packers retained all five of the team’s exclusive rights free agents with the one-year tender.

Receivers Allen Lazard and Jake Kumerow, tight end Robert Tonyan, defensive lineman Tyler Lancaster and cornerback Chandon Sullivan will all be back with the Packers in 2020.

Exclusive rights free agents are players with two or fewer accrued seasons and an expiring contract. The one-year tender is worth the league minimum salary.

Lazard, 24, caught 35 passes, finished second on the team in receiving yards (477) and scored three touchdowns during a breakout season in 2019. He has one accrued season and will be an exclusive rights free agent again in 2021.

Kumerow, 28, set career-highs in catches (12) and receiving yards (219) in 2019. If he accrues another season in 2020, he’ll be a restricted free agent in 2021.

Tonyan, 25, caught 10 passes for 100 yards and a touchdown in 2019. If he accrues another season in 2020, he’ll be a restricted free agent in 2021.

Lancaster, 25, finished third on among Packers defensive linemen in snaps played in 2019. If he accrues another season in 2020, he’ll be a restricted free agent in 2021.

Sullivan, 23, broke up six passes and intercepted one over 16 games in 2019. He has one accrued season and will an exclusive rights free agent again in 2021.
