Packers TE Jimmy Graham expected to play vs. Broncos

#Packers TE Jimmy Graham, who popped up on the injury report this week with a groin, is expected to play today, source said. Coach Matt LaFleur had previously said Graham “looked good” in practice, though the team later promoted a TE.

Green Bay Packers tight end Jimmy Graham is expected to play Sunday against the Denver Broncos despite a groin injury that bothered him this week.

Graham, who has three catches for 30 yards and a touchdown in two games this season, was listed as questionable on Friday’s injury report.

The Packers promoted tight end Evan Baylis from the practice squad in case Graham couldn’t go.

Coach Matt LaFleur was confident Graham could play at a high level despite limited practice time this week. He confirmed Graham was battling the issue last Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings.

If Graham is limited, Marcedes Lewis and Robert Tonyan will get more snaps against the Broncos.

Inactives are due by 10:30 a.m. CT on Sunday. While starting defensive lineman Montravius Adams isn’t likely to play, Graham is expected to be active.
