Packers take lead over Vikings on Aaron Rodgers to Davante Adams TD

A pair of touchdown passes from Aaron Rodgers to Davante Adams gave the Green Bay Packers a lead over the Minnesota Vikings in the fourth quarter Sunday at U.S. Bank Stadium.

The Packers have scored touchdowns on three straight possessions and now hold a slim advantage at 24-23 with 7:49 left in the fourth quarter.

Rodgers hit Adams for a 10-yard score with 3:35 left in the third quarter and then found Adams again from 18 yards out on 3rd-and-6 with just under eight minutes to go to put the Packers up.

The latest scoring drive for the Packers traveled 94 yards in 12 plays and took up a little over seven minutes of game clock. On the touchdown, Rodgers attempted to call a timeout before the snap but didn’t get it, and Adams ran a great route to get open for the score.

The Packers lead for the first time since the score was 3-0 early in the first quarter. Matt LaFleur’s team trailed 16-3 before scoring a touchdown right before the half.

Rodgers has thrown three touchdown passes and has a 131.0 passer rating, while Adams has seven catches for 115 yards and two scores. The two players have now connected on 70 career touchdown passes.
