Packers take early lead vs. Colts on Tonyan TD

The Green Bay Packers took advantage of a takeaway and a perfect start from Aaron Rodgers to grab an early lead over the Indianapolis Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Seven plays after Raven Greene forced a fumble recovered by Darnell Savage, Rodgers found tight end Robert Tonyan for a 25-yard touchdown.

The Packers quarterback is a perfect 5-for-5 to start the contest. He has 78 passing yards, one touchdown and a perfect 158.3 passer rating.

The Packers’ scoring drive covered 51 yards.

Rodgers scrambled for a first down on third down and hit Tonyan and tight end Marcedes Lewis for three completions and 37 yards.

The Packers fumbled away the football on the first series due to a botched snap between Rodgers and center Corey Linsley.

The Colts quickly tied the game with a 75-yard scoring drive, capped off by a 45-yard touchdown catch by rookie Michael Pittman.
