Packers sitting 15 players, including QB Aaron Rodgers, vs. Ravens

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is among the 15 players who won’t play on Thursday night against the Baltimore Ravens.

Here are the 14 others sitting out the Packers’ second preseason game:

– RB Aaron Jones
– RB Jamaal Williams
– WR Trevor Davis
– CB Kevin King
– CB Josh Jackson
– DB Josh Jones
– LB Oren Burks
– S Ibraheim Campbell
– FB Danny Vitale
– FB Malcolm Johnson
– CB Kabion Ento
– LB Greg Roberts
– TE Jace Sternberger
– DL Fadol Brown

The Packers announced Rodgers wouldn’t play due to back tightness. It is believed to be a precautionary move.

The rest of the Packers starters are expected to play about a quarter against the Ravens, although it’s unclear if Rodgers’ absence will affect Matt LaFleur’s thinking about playing time.

The Packers sat 26 players, including most starters, during the preseason opener against the Houston Texans last Thursday night.

The Ravens will be a formidable preseason opponent. Baltimore beat the Jacksonville Jaguars by a 29-0 final last week.
