Packers signing Arizona State QB Manny Wilkins as UDFA

The Green Bay Packers are signing Arizona State quarterback Manny Wilkins following the conclusion of the 2019 NFL draft, according to multiple media reports.

A three-year starter for the Sun Devils, Wilkins (6-2, 193) completed 63.2 percent of his passes, averaged 7.7 yards per attempt and threw 52 touchdown passes against 23 interceptions over 39 games. He also rushed for 1,035 yards and 20 touchdowns.

Wilkins finished his career with the second-best completion percentage, fourth-most completions, fifth-most passing yards and sixth-most passing touchdowns in school history.

Although undersized, Wilkins has the accuracy and mobility to challenge for a roster spot. Lance Zierlein of NFL.com compared him to Matt Moore, a long-time backup quarterback for the Panthers and Dolphins. Wilkins will arrive in Green Bay as training camp competition for backups DeShone Kizer and Tim Boyle.
