Packers select TE Jace Sternberger at No. 75 overall in 2019 NFL draft

The Green Bay Packers used the 75th overall pick in the 2019 NFL draft on Texas A&M tight end Jace Sternberger.

Sternberger (6-4, 251) is the sixth tight end to be drafted in the first three rounds.

Last season, Sternberger caught 48 passes for 832 yards and 10 touchdowns in 13 games during a breakout year for Texas A&M. He was named a first-team All-SEC pick.

The Packers hosted Sternberger in Green Bay for an official visit before the draft.

Sternberger should give the Packers offense an athletic, pass-catching threat to develop at tight end behind Jimmy Graham, Marcedes Lewis and Robert Tonyan.
