Packers RT Bryan Bulaga to play through dislocated finger vs. Chargers

A dislocated finger suffered against the Kansas City Chiefs last Sunday won’t keep Green Bay Packers right tackle Bryan Bulaga out of the lineup on Sunday in Los Angeles.

Bulaga told Jason Wilde of the Wisconsin State Journal that he’ll wear protection on his right ring finger – which got busted up late in the Packers’ win over the Chiefs – on Sunday against the Chargers.

“I think we’ve brainstormed a lot of things and tried a lot of things and I think what we did today is probably what we’re going to do for the game. While it’s not perfect, I don’t think anything’s going to be perfect,” Bulaga said.

Bulaga’s final snap against the Chiefs came on Aaron Rodgers’ 3-yard touchdown pass to Jamaal Williams. He was replaced by Alex Light on the next series.

Bulaga said he won’t wear a club to protect the finger because it’s impossible to play offensive tackle with only one working hand. Sunday’s trip to Los Angeles will match Bulaga and left tackle David Bakhtiari against Chargers edge rushers Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram.

Bulaga, who practiced on both Wednesday and Thursday, will have to fight through an injury while facing another top rusher. He gave up his first sack of the 2019 season on Sunday night against the Chiefs.
