Packers remain committed to not trading Aaron Rodgers

The Vikings have had to deal with one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL being in the same division as them.

This offseason, that seemed like it could change when Packers QB Aaron Rodgers became “disgruntled” with the Packers and told people in the organization he wants out of Green Bay, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

As the offseason has progressed, Rodgers has yet to be traded away.

According to Matt Schneidman of The Athletic, Green Bay remains committed to not trading him. Schneidman wrote:

“According to a source, however, general manager Brian Gutekunst is still holding firm to the stance that he “will not” trade the reigning NFL MVP.”

As Schneidman pointed out, if the Packers were open to trading him, it would make sense to do so after June 1, for monetary reasons. So maybe Green Bay will fold and eventually deal its elite quarterback. It would certainly help the Vikings if they did.
