Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones tied Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers with his career-high ninth rushing touchdown of the 2019 season.
Jones squirted through the middle of the defense and found the end zone from five yards out to tie the game at seven. As lights flickered at Lambeau Field, Jones took a running start and leaped into the north end zone stands.
The score capped off a seven-play, 75-yard drive. Aaron Rodgers extended the march with a 3-and-9 completion to Allen Lazard, and Jones scored two plays later.
Last season, Jones scored eight rushing touchdowns in 12 games. He now has nine rushing and 12 total touchdowns.
The score was Jones’ first rushing touchdown since scoring four against the Dallas Cowboys on Oct. 6. He produced receiving touchdowns in back-to-back games against the Oakland Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs.
Through two drives on Sunday, Jones has 19 rushing yards on four carries.
