Packers RB Aaron Jones named NFC Offensive Player of the Week for Week 8

For the second time in the first eight weeks of the 2019 season, Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones has been named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week.

Jones produced a career-high 226 total yards and two touchdowns during the Packers’ 31-24 win over the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night. He caught seven passes for 159 yards and became just the 12th player in NFL history to produce at least 60 rushing yards and 150 receiving yards in the same game.

Jones previously won the award after totaling 182 yards and four touchdowns in Dallas in Week 8. Three weeks later, he’s received the honor again.

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers won the award last week after throwing five touchdown passes and running in another during a win over the Oakland Raiders.

Jones’ performance ranks fourth in team history in yards from scrimmage in a single game. He also became the fifth different running back to produce 200 total yards in a single game this season.

Jones joins Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson as the only offensive players to win the award more than once this season.
