Aaron Jones just needed a higher degree of difficulty.
Six days after dropping a wide-open touchdown pass, the Green Bay Packers running back made a spinning touchdown catch of an Aaron Rodgers throw to cap off the Packers’ opening drive on Sunday against the Oakland Raiders.
It was a moment of redemption for Jones.
On Monday night against the Detroit Lions, Jones found himself all alone down the seam but couldn’t haul in Rodgers’ throw as he tumbled into the end zone. On Sunday, Jones made a terrific adjustment to Rodgers’ throw, turning back inside to make the catch in the end zone.
Jones turned his three touches on the opening drive into 38 yards and a score.
The Packers lead the Raiders in the first quarter, 7-3.
