Packers QBs trick rookie Manny Wilkins during Family Night intros

Green Bay Packers quarterbacks Aaron Rodgers, DeShone Kizer and Tim Boyle pulled a fast one on rookie Manny Wilkins to kick off the team’s annual Family Night Scrimmage Friday at Lambeau Field.

The three veterans told Wilkins he’d get to lead the quarterbacks out of the tunnel for introductions. The rookie ran out, but Rodgers, Kizer and Boyle didn’t follow. They were still in the tunnel, waving at Wilkins and giggling over their joke.

“So I went out first and then I turned around to see if Tim was running because they said Tim was going to go second and they’re all waving at me,” Wilkins said, via Wes Hodkiewicz of the team’s official website. “I just laughed. It’s cool to have a moment and joke around with such a good group of guys.”

It must have been an incredible moment for Wilkins, the undrafted free agent from Arizona State. Despite the prank, his first taste of Lambeau Field was still running out of the historic tunnel in front of over 50,000 fans.

Kizer told PackersNews.com that the three quarterbacks got to “share a laugh” with Wilkins on the field.

Wilkins produced a few impressive moments during the practice, including a long touchdown pass to Trevor Davis. He’s competing for a chance to stay in Green Bay, likely as the No. 3 quarterback on the roster or practice squad.
