Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers tricked one of the game’s best linebackers with a no-look pass.
During his weekly spot with “The Pat McAfee Show” on Tuesday, Rodgers revealed that he pulled a fast one on Indianapolis Colts linebacker Darius Leonard during the fourth quarter of Sunday’s overtime loss at Lucas Oil Stadium.
The subtle deception resulted in a completion to Davante Adams as the Packers marched down the field for the game-tying field goal.
“I had a pretty sweet no-looker to Davante on the last drive that I had kinda set up for a few plays,” Rodgers said. “Darius is so athletic side to side, he loves reading your eyes. I just kinda came back, looked left, then looked outside him to the right and threw behind him.”

The result of the play was an 18-yard completion from Rodgers to Adams.
Peter Bukowski of Locked on Packers found the play from the broadcast, which eventually showed Rodgers using his eyes to trick Leonard:

The fakeout from Rodgers moved Leonard just enough for Adams to flash open in the middle of the field.
On Twitter, Leonard admitted he was fooled and said it was a “hell of a throw” from Rodgers:

Rodgers finished the game with 27 completions on 38 attempts for 311 yards, three touchdown passes and one interception. Seven of his completions went to Adams, who had 106 receiving yards and a score. Leonard had six tackles and a pass breakup.
