Packers QB Aaron Rodgers ranks No. 8 on NFL ‘Top 100’ list entering 2019

Aaron Rodgers’ peers still believe he’s one of the 10 best players in the NFL.

The Green Bay Packers quarterback ranked No. 8 on the NFL Network’s “Top 100” players list entering the 2019 season, marking the seventh time in the last nine seasons Rodgers has ranked inside the top 10.

Last year, Rodgers ranked No. 10. In both 2016 and 2017, he was No. 6.

Despite suffering a significant knee injury in Week 1 and a season-ending concussion in Week 17, Rodgers still played in all 16 games for the Packers in 2018, throwing for 4,442 yards and 25 touchdown passes while tossing only two interceptions.

However, the Packers finished 6-9-1 and missed the playoffs for the second straight season, resulting in the firing of coach Mike McCarthy.

The seven players above Rodgers in the final rankings were Aaron Donald, Drew Brees, Khalil Mack, Patrick Mahomes, Todd Gurley, Tom Brady and Antonio Brown.

Rodgers joined receiver Davante Adams (No. 35) and left tackle David Bakhtiari (No. 43) as Packers on the 100-player list.
