For the second time in as many weeks, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been named the FedEx Air Player of the Week.
Rodgers, who completed 23 passes for 305 yards and three touchdowns in the Packers’ win over the Kansas City Chiefs, beat out Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford and New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees for the weekly award.
Rodgers threw two go-ahead touchdown passes in the fourth quarter, including a miraculous score to running back Jamaal Williams on third down and the decisive 67-yard score to running back Aaron Jones. He finished the night hitting Jones for a first down on the first play coming out of the two-minute warning, securing the victory.
Over the last two weeks, Rodgers has tossed eight touchdown passes without an interception – powering the Packers to 73 total points in wins over the Chiefs and Oakland Raiders.
