Packers OLB Za’Darius Smith named second-team All-Pro in 2020

Green Bay Packers edge rusher Za’Darius Smith was named a second-team All-Pro for the 2020 NFL season by the Associated Press.

Smith, who led the Packers in sacks this season, received four All-Pro votes. T.J. Watt of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Myles Garrett of the Cleveland Browns were the two first-team edge rushers, while Smith was joined by Khalil Mack of the Chicago Bears on the second-team.

Smith, now a two-time Pro Bowler, is a first-time All-Pro.

Over 16 games, Smith tallied 12.5 sacks, 23 quarterback hits, 12 tackles for losses, four forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in 2020. He was tied for fourth in the NFL in sacks, 10th in quarterback hits and tied for third in forced fumbles.

Smith joined Aaron Donald of the Los Angeles Rams as the only players with at least 10 sacks, 20 quarterback hits and four forced fumbles in the NFL this season.

Since joining the Packers in 2019, Smith has 26 sacks and 60 quarterback hits.

Smith had at least one sack in 10 games. He set a season-high with 3.0 sacks against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 4, when he won NFC Defensive Player of the Week.

Smith forced a game-changing fumble against the New Orleans Saints in Week 3 and forced the fumble Preston Smith returned for a touchdown against the Chicago Bears in Week 12.

The Packers had four first-team All-Pros and six total All-Pros in 2020.
