Packers OLB Za’Darius Smith expected to play vs. Eagles

The Green Bay Packers should have their top pass-rusher available to play Thursday night against the Philadelphia Eagles.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, outside linebacker Za’Darius Smith is expected to play despite being listed as questionable with a knee injury.

Smith, who has three sacks and seven quarterback hits in three games, was added to the injury report on Tuesday.

Smith has helped revitalize Mike Pettine’s defense to start 2019.

The Packers may still limit Smith’s snaps on a short week against the Eagles. Rookie Rashan Gary, who produced his first career sack last week, would be in line for additional snaps Thursday night.

The Packers and Eagles are scheduled for a 7:20 p.m. kickoff at Lambeau Field. Inactives are due 90 minutes before kickoff.
