Packers officially clinch playoff berth

The Green Bay Packers have officially snapped their two-year drought without a playoff appearance.

The Packers’ win over the Chicago Bears and the Dallas Cowboys’ win over the Los Angeles Rams clinched a playoff berth for Matt LaFleur’s team.

The Packers are now 11-3 after 14 games, with a chance to clinch the NFC North title next Monday night in Minnesota and the No. 2 (or better) seed in the conference with wins in Minnesota and Detroit.

The Packers won 13 combined games in 2017 and 2018 and missed the playoffs each season. They had been to the postseason eight straight years between 2009 and 2016.

The Packers built a 21-3 lead and then held on for a 21-13 win over the Bears on Sunday. The Packers swept the Bears in 2019 and eliminated Matt Nagy’s team from playoff contention.
