Packers make another roster move, release RB Lavon Coleman

The Green Bay Packers are making another adjustment to the roster following the team’s rookie minicamp.

The team announced the release of running back Lavon Coleman, who spent the last two weeks of the 2018 season on the Packers’ 53-man roster. He played in one game (at New York Jets) but did not record a statistic.

The Packers originally signed Coleman to the practice squad in late October.

Coleman was one of several players on the roster who participated in the team’s rookie minicamp this past weekend. It is possible new coach Matt LaFleur doesn’t see Coleman as a fit or GM Brian Gutekunst needs the roster spot to sign one of the other rookies at the minicamp.

The Packers already signed tryout receiver Darrius Shepherd and former Eagles cornerback Chandon Sullivan to the 90-man roster Monday.
