Packers list 20 players on first injury report of Week 6, including QB Aaron Rodgers

The Green Bay Packers’ first injury report of Week 6 featured a season-high 20 players, and it surprisingly included quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

The Packers listed Rodgers as a limited participant Thursday with a knee injury. It’s unclear when Rodgers, who dealt with a knee issue for most of last season, suffered the injury. He played the entire game Sunday in Dallas, completing 22 passes for 238 yards. He was hit a handful of times, including once high and low by a pair of rushers as he delivered a sidearmed pass to Aaron Jones in the first half.

Four players didn’t practice Thursday: receiver Davante Adams (toe), cornerback Tony Brown (hamstring), safety Darnell Savage (ankle) and tight end Robert Tonyan (hip). All four could be in danger of missing Monday night’s meeting with the Detroit Lions.

Eleven others, including Rodgers, were limited on Thursday. Linebacker Oren Burks, edge rusher Za’Darius Smith and running back Jamaal Williams were among those listed as full participants.

Roughly 38 percent of the team’s 53-man roster was listed on the injury report, including 13 preferred starters.

The Lions listed nine players. Quarterback Matthew Stafford was limited with a hip injury. So was cornerback Darius Slay, who has a hamstring injury. Former Packers defensive tackle Mike Daniels missed practice with a foot injury.
