Packers K Mason Crosby (calf) comes off NFI list, practices Sunday

Green Bay Packers kicker Mason Crosby was removed from the NFI list and returned to practice Sunday after missing the first eight practices of training camp with a calf injury.

Packers coach Matt LaFleur said Crosby has been kicking on his own throughout camp and is ready to get right back into action.

“Yeah, we talked about it this morning. He’s feeling good. He’s ready to go,” LaFleur said after practice.

With Crosby out, the Packers have given all the live kicking reps to Sam Ficken, who made 9-of-12 kicks during the team’s Family Night Scrimmage.

Crosby will now leap right into the kicking competition, starting Monday with joint practices against the Houston Texans.

“I don’t think there’s going to be a whole lot of transition,” LaFleur said.

Crosby, who turns 35 in September, made 30-of-37 field goals during the 2018 season.
