Packers host Northwestern LB Nate Hall on pre-draft visit

The Green Bay Packers are hosting Northwestern linebacker Nate Hall on a pre-draft visit.

Hall (6-2, 225) started nine games as a senior in 2018, tallying 51 tackles, 5.5 tackles for losses, three interceptions and one fumble recovery. He missed five games with a shoulder injury that required surgery. Hall’s best season came in 2017 when produced 79 tackles, 16.5 tackles for losses, five sacks, two interceptions, eight pass breakups and one fumble recovery over 13 games.

At Northwestern’s pro day, Hall hit 33″ in the vertical and blazed through the short shuttle (4.21 seconds) and three-cone drill (6.85 seconds). He didn’t bench press due to the shoulder injury.

Hall also tore his ACL to end the 2017 season but didn’t miss a game to begin 2018.

Lance Zierlein of NFL.com believes Hall is likely to be a priority free agent after the draft due to a lack of size and athletic ability.

However, Bleacher Report thinks Hall shows flashes of being a top-10 off-ball linebacker in the draft class, noting his instincts and coverage ability.

The Packers likely view Hall as an inside linebacker in the 3-4.
