Packers have roughly $14 million left in salary cap space

Official salary cap numbers reported by Field Yates of ESPN lists the Green Bay Packers as having roughly $14 million left in salary cap space, placing the Packers at 20th overall in the NFL.

With the incoming draft class expected to shave $4 million or more off that number, the Packers likely have somewhere around $10 million to play with the rest of this offseason.

GM Brian Gutekunst went on a spending spree early in free agency, signing Za’Darius Smith, Preston Smith, Adrian Amos and Billy Turner to contracts worth up to $182 million overall, with $56 million in signing bonuses. He also re-signed receiver Geronimo Allison and tight end Marcedes Lewis.

Theoretically, the Packers could still fit another quality veteran on the cap while still leaving enough money for the draft class and the emergency in-season fund, plus any money Gutekunst and Russ Ball want to carry over into 2020.
