Packers give OL Lucas Patrick $350K signing bonus on 2-year extension

The Green Bay Packers gave backup offensive lineman Lucas Patrick a two-year extension that included a $350,000 signing bonus, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Patrick, who has played in 39 games and made six starts for the Packers the last three seasons, was scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

The two-year deal is worth a total of $3.6 million, giving Patrick a substantial raise over the $645,000 base salary he made on his one-year deal in 2019.

Patrick, an undrafted free agent from Duke, earned a contract after a rookie tryout in 2016, made the roster in 2017 after a year on the practice squad and has been a valuable backup interior lineman ever since. He played 54 snaps at center after Corey Linsley went down with a concussion in Dallas earlier this season.

The deal should keep Patrick under contract in Green Bay through the 2021 season.
