Packers fans predictably had the Chargers’ stadium looking like Lambeau Field

The Chargers’ ill-advised move to Los Angeles –err, Carson, Calif. — really can’t be pointed out enough for its ridiculousness. The Chargers have zero ties to Los Angeles, abandoned an actual fanbase in San Diego and are supposed to move into the massive SoFi Stadium next season.

And as if that wasn’t bad enough, the Chargers still can’t fill the 27,000-seat Dignity Health Sports Park with their own fans. Sunday was yet another example of an away-team takeover with the Green Bay Packers in town for their first trip to Carson.

The Chargers — and honestly, the Packers — likely expected a pro-Packers crowd on Sunday, but the actual turnout exceeded even the most outlandish of expectations for the Green Bay faithful. The Packers took the field to a legitimate 95 percent pro-Packers crowd.

Just look at this:

And this:

Try to spot a Chargers fan in that crowd. It’s a legitimately difficult exercise. They had Dignity Health Sports Park looking like Lambeau Field.

The Chargers are in Year 3 of the Los Angeles move, and matters haven’t improved even as the actual team performs well. LA sports fans just don’t care about the Chargers — it’s that simple.

As if the Chiefs, Raiders, Steelers and Eagles takeovers weren’t lesson enough, the Packers’ turnout should serve as yet another wake-up call for this inconceivably dumb move to Los Angeles.
