Packers cornerback rips Mitchell Trubisky after beating Bears

The Green Bay Packers executed their defensive game plan against the Chicago Bears exactly how they wanted.

After the 10-3 victory on Thursday night, Packers cornerback Tramon Williams called out Mitchell Trubisky as the reason the Bears lost — exactly what the Packers were hoping for.

“We wanted to make him play quarterback,” Williams said. “We knew they had a lot of weapons. We knew they were dangerous. We knew all of those things. We knew if we could make him play quarterback, we would have a chance.”

Matt Nagy abandoned the running game and played right into Green Bay’s desires.

Thursday night marked only the third game Trubisky has attempted more than 40 passes in his NFL career, and he completed under 60 percent of his throws for five yards per attempt and an interception.

“We played well as a defense,” Williams said. “We knew we had to outplay their defense.”

The Bears defense did its job, holding Aaron Rodgers to just 10 points, but Trubisky failed to finish a drive in the endzone as he shouldered the burden of the offense.

Just like Williams and the Packers wanted.
